The NSS-CDS Board of Directors election is right around the corner. If anyone is interested in serving the guidelines for this election are shown below. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our organization.
We have a nominating committee whose job it is to seek put interested parties who have an interest in running for one of the three seats that are up for election in 2021. The NSS-CDS By-Laws have well defined the process for the election and the milestones are shown below.
The only requirement is that the nominee is a member for 1 year at the time of their nomination.
• February 13th last day to accept nominations
• February 27th platform statements for all candidates that choose to run will be due
• March 13th the election starts, and an email with a ballot link will be sent out. If you don’t receive a ballot, please check your membership status with the CDS manager
• May 8th is the last day to vote
• May15th all candidates that have won will be notified
• May22nd is the membership annual meeting
The nomination committee functions independent of the CDS board, and the board is notified as to who is running at the same time as the membership. The committee does not share information with the board, or anybody during the nominating process.
